Friday 24 May sees the return of our annual Business Day event for Year 12 Business, Economics and BTEC students. This is one of the highlights of our academic calendar and the success of the day rests on our ability to attract volunteers from the business community to act as mentors for our students.
Some of you have participated in the past and it would be great to see you getting involved again this year. We are aiming to invite up to 12 business leaders.
The event runs from 8:15am to 3pm and we are particularly looking for people who have run their own business or worked at a senior level in a business environment who like interacting with young adults.Your role would be to act as mentors / advisors / motivators to students throughout the day as they undertake a specific business strategy challenge and to judge their efforts at the end of the day. No preparation on your part is needed. Skills in all areas of business are welcome.
If you feel you could offer all or part of the day to help out, please email David Stevens, Head of Economics and Business Education at firstname.lastname@example.org. It really is a very enjoyable event for all involved and we can throw in a good lunch as a sweetener.
Thanks in anticipation.
